SolutionCenter.msi pops up when you try to start HP Solution Center, out of my experience this usually occurs when you first installed the solution center software from the downloaded file(through the website) when you double click on it, it extracts the files to temporary location with a specified name, that folder is currently not available to reinstall Hp solution Center.

You Can try the below solution to resolve the issue, browse for the Hp Solution Center.msi in your product software cd or as suggested in the forums try to install the new patch which is available to download here, namely eSupport_hpcom_130_011.exe, (1/1 , 44.52M)

The patch is released by HP as Solution Center Update to correct the following two issues.
1) Solution Center prompting for disk when launched or during a pc reboot and
2) Prevents an application error with hpqgpc01.exe when PC is shut down.

With this update your solution center might get updated to version 13.0 if you have 12.0 solution center previously. Solution Center 13 works beautifully, far better than the version 10 I was using before that was full of problems. This patch can also resolve No HP Devices Detected Error as saw posted by some HP AIO users.
